IT To Go Pte Ltd offers Bitdefender software to secure ASEAN Foundation IT Systems
On 16 January 2012, the ASEAN Foundation received a software donation from IT To Go Pte Ltd (www.it2g.com), an IT solution provider and software distribution company based in Singapore. The company has made a generous donation of 200 copies of Bitdefender Internet Security 2012 (1 year 1 user) to the ASEAN Foundation. The donation is valued USD 10,000 on the retail market (BitDefender Asia).
The ASEAN Foundation will use the software donation to secure its IT systems, staff computers, and also 24 PCs in its training room. The rest will be distributed to the ASEAN Foundation ICT training participants, on the many occasions when trainings are scheduled.
“I heard that the ASEAN Foundation deliver lots of ICT trainings to many peoples with various level of IT skills. Some of them might not be aware of the fact that connecting a USB stick to a computer, an entire network can be compromised and vital data can be hacked or disappear altogether. By running Bitdefender software on every PC, the exposure to viruses, spyware and malware in the system will be minimized”, said Mr. Dominic Soh, CEO of IT To Go, Pte Ltd.
