Videographer & Photographer for ASEAN Learning Exchange Yogyakarta, 25 – 26 October 2018

BACKGROUND

ASEAN Farmers’ Organisation Support Programme (AFOSP) is an EU-IFAD Grant funded multi-stakeholder projects that aims to improve the livelihood and food security situation of smallholder farmers and rural producers in ASEAN Countries. The programme consists of two major components of the Regional Policy Dialogue (Medium term Cooperation Program Phase II and Regional Policy Dialogue/MTCP 2) and Farmers Fighting Poverty (FFP).The main stakeholders of AFOSP are the Asian Farmers’ Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA), La Via Campesina (LVC), the ASEAN Foundation (AF), and participating ASEAN Farmers’ Organisations (FOs).

DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under direct supervision of Communication Officer and AFOSP Project Manager, the consultant will produce high quality videos and photos on the ASEAN Learning Exchange in Yogyakarta for the use of AFOSP and ASEAN Foundation’s publications, websites and any other purposes.

The consultant should cover the two-days event that will be held on 25 – 26 October 2018. The consultant will also do live-streaming in ASEAN Foundation Facebook on 25 – 26 October 2018 with their camera. After the event, the consultant has to continue the editing process to make the video footage ready to use for AFOSP and ASEAN Foundation’s publication.

Output:

Video edit of ASEAN Learning Exchange consisted of:

  • 3 Testimonial Video from Participant, Partner, Facilitator (1 Min video for each)
  • 1 event highlight video (1 min for social media and will be showcased at the closing ceremony on 26 October 2018)
  • 1 compilation video (consist of 2 days activities within 8-9 mins)
  • Raw content video & photo footages taken during two days event

The video documentation should be submitted D+14 with subtitle/text after approval or revision by ASEAN Foundation Communication Team.

The original format of the photographs should be submitted on daily basis during the event. While the edited and captioned photographs will be submitted via google drive link / dropbox by 2 weeks after the event

The duration of assignment will be from 25 – 26 October 2018

Timeline:

The duration of assignment will be starts from 25 – 26 October 2018 for video covering and continued with 10 days’ work for editing and subtitle (adding 2-3 days should any revision be necessary) till the final edited video and photograph received by ASEAN Foundation Communication Team, on November 23rd 2018. Intellectual Property Right:

All information pertaining to this project (photographs and video documentation) belonging to the ASEAN Foundation, which the consultant may come into contact with in the performance of his/her, duties under this assignment shall remain the property of the ASEAN Foundation who shall have exclusive rights over their use. Except for purposes of this assignment, the information shall not be disclosed to the public nor used in whatever without written permission of the ASEAN Foundation in line with the national and International Copyright Laws applicable. While the credit title of photographs and videos belong to the creator.

Skills and Experience Required:

  1. Advanced experience as photographer, videographer, and video editor
  2. Experience taking photographs for international forums with different angle (e.g human interest, scenery, etc)
  3. Previous working experience with NGOs or documentary videos are highly desirable
  4. Ownership or possession of high resolution state of the art digital camera, video camera, or drone are highly desirable
  5. Flexible to facilitate request based on story board or script provided by ASEAN Foundation
  6. Fluency in English
  7. Able to work under pressure and meet tight timelines
  8. Applicants residing in Yogyakarta will be prioritized. ASEAN Foundation will not cover any travel and accommodation cost for applicants who are residing outside Yogyakarta
