27 June– The ASEAN Foundation together with TikTok Shop is thrilled to announce the selection of 50 outstanding Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from across ASEAN region to participate in the ASEAN Supporting Our Retailers and Artisans (SOAR) Together programme.
A Milestone for ASEAN’s MSME Community
In a joint effort to foster sustainable economic growth and enterprise development in ASEAN’s digital economy, The ASEAN SOAR Together programme, aims to strengthen the capacity and readiness of ASEAN MSMEs to thrive in a competitive global market. By providing tailored training and access to regional networks, MSMEs will have the opportunity and knowledge to equip their businesses with the tools they need to scale, innovate, and contribute to the ASEAN Community’s shared prosperity.
The programme received hundreds of exceptional applications from all 10 ASEAN Member States and after a competitive selection process, 50 MSMEs have been shortlisted to participate in the programme.
The selected 50 MSMEs reflects ASEAN’s diverse entrepreneurial ecosystem encompassing a wide range of sector such as crafts, agriculture, food, technology, sustainable fashion, and others. Beyond their business potential, many of these enterprises are also committed to driving positive socio-economic impact in their communities as their business goals align with key priorities under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), making them not only drivers of economic growth but also agents of sustainable development in the region.

What’s Next for the Selected MSMEs?
The journey to SOAR Together
During the ASEAN SOAR Together programme, these enterprises will gain access to tailored digital capacity-building, practical training, and regional networks to amplify their impact, enhance their online presence, and expand their market reach.
Over the coming months, these businesses will participate in programme activities that includes:
- Capacity-Building Workshops: Training sessions on digital transformation and marketing, with a focus on e-commerce and selling strategies on TikTok and TikTok Shop.
- Real-world Application and Business Challenge: Participating MSMEs will have the opportunity to apply their learnings through practical business challenges. Top-performing enterprises will be rewarded with up to USD 1,000 in TikTok advertising credits to boost their digital campaigns.
- Showcase Opportunities: Selected MSMEs will be featured at regional events (e.g. ASEAN Business and Investment Summit 2025) and on digital platforms to help amplify their brand presence.
