Theo has a strong commitment to youth empowerment and education issue in Eastern Indonesia. He believed that young people are one of the key actors to push for a transformative change in the community. His passion for community development has led him to pursue further studies after earning his law degree in 2017. He has a Master of Development Studies degree from the University of Melbourne.

Prior to joining the ASEAN Foundation, Theo was leading and involved in multiple projects funded by grants from the University of Melbourne focusing on youth civic participation and empowerment project for refugees.
