The ASEAN Foundation and Maybank Foundation are partnered together to implement the eMpowering Youth Across ASEAN (EYAA) Programme, aimed at empowering ASEAN youth volunteers to implement their ideas on real-world projects which would lead to meaningful change in local communities across ASEAN.

Prior to the undertaking of the community projects, all selected youth volunteers will undergo a regional orientation and capacity building workshop to receive training on how to develop project plans that cover a broad range of developmental issues:

• Design thinking
• Organisational and financial management
• Impact measurement and reporting
• Public campaign and communications
• Sustainability

The eMpowering Youths Across ASEAN: Cohort Two this year will embark on their new volunteering projects in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Led by 89 youth changemakers and local CSOs, this year's initiatives will be held in a hybrid or semi-virtual format to comply with COVID-19 protocols.
