Project Manager for ASEAN Foundation-SAP Joint Initiatives

IIan has numerous experience managing education-related projects with international development organisations, higher education institutions, schools and the private sector.

Prior to joining the ASEAN Foundation, he coordinated a three-year USAID-funded project focusing on improving capacity of STEM teachers at high school levels in Indonesia in collaboration with Intel Indonesia.

At Putera Sampoerna Foundation (Sampoerna University), he managed research and community development programmes for students and lecturers. He also had the opportunity to join UNESCO Jakarta in supporting the Capacity Development for Education for All in Timor-Leste and worked with Junior Achievement, a non-profit organisation based in the US, overseeing youth development and entrepreneurship skills improvement programmes. He also served as an English instructor at the University of Indonesia for a few years.

Ilan has a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Linguistics from the University of Indonesia and completed his Master’s degree in Education from the University of Groningen, Netherlands.
