Background

Nowadays, digitalisation has become a consensus around the world to influence future development. New-generation information technologies, such as 5G, artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, and IoT, are fully integrated into all fields of economic and social life，becoming an important enabling tool for profoundly changing the way of production, life, and thinking of human society, and accelerate the transformation to digitalisation, networking, and intelligence in various industries and fields. 

The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly promoted the digital and intelligent transformation of various industries. The rapid digital transformation has led to a huge demand for industry talent and misplaced talent. ICT, as a knowledge-intensive industry for example, is strongly dependent on talent resources.  According to a World Bank report, the ICT talent gap will reach 2 million in the next five years.

To close this huge gap, enterprises, with their up-to-date industry knowledge and expertise, can play an important role in training the talents needed by society and industries.

The ASEAN & HUAWEI – Asia pacific Digital Talent Summit, which will be held on 19 September 2022 in Bangkok, will provide a platform for all stakeholders to sit together and explore paths for digital talent cultivation in the Asia-Pacific region, enhance the knowledge transfer, encourage a greater understanding of the ICT sector, further promote digital economy development and employment, and unleash the full potential of today's tech-savvy young generation. Below is the tentative agenda.

Duty & Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator of ASEAN Seeds for the Future and the guidance of the Head of Communications of the ASEAN Foundation, the Consultant will carry out their assignments on 1-30 September 2022. The assignments consist of the production and editing of the digital assets for the livestreaming, operating the livestream, as well as documenting the event through high-quality photos and videos.

All assets should be delivered according to the standards established, and will be reviewed by ASEAN Foundation and Huawei. The consultant is expected to provide up to 3 rounds of revision. All assets used to produce the video, including project files, should be delivered in their entirety so the material can be updated.

Intellectual Property

All information pertaining to this project (photo and video documentation) belongs to the ASEAN Foundation, which the consultant may come into contact with in the performance of his/her. Duties under this assignment shall remain the property of the ASEAN Foundation who shall have exclusive rights over their use. Except for purposes of this assignment, the information shall not be disclosed to the public nor used in whatever without written permission of the ASEAN Foundation in line with the national and International Copyright Laws applicable.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Based in Bangkok, Thailand
• Having good experience in photo/video taking and editing and live streaming for international forums and youth activities
• Having excellent command in English verbal and writing
• Owning livestreaming equipment, including, but not limited to laptops, mixer, cameras, mic and other audio equipment, lighting, emcee script screen, internet modem and others
• Owning and possessing a high-resolution state of the art digital camera and video camera and equipment
• Owning and possessing livestreaming software, and photo and video editing software
• Skilled in photography, videography, and editing
• Possessing good flexibility in receiving last-minute changes and requests from client
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight timelines without affecting the quality of the final deliverable
