BACKGROUND   

First launched in 2008 in Thailand, the Seeds for the Future Programme of Huawei is a global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) flagship programme dedicated to top STEM and non–STEM students worldwide. This programme seeks to develop local Computers and Information Technology (ICT) talent, enhance knowledge transfer, encourage a greater understanding of the ICT sector, and promote regional building and participation in the digital community. 

This year, the ASEAN Foundation, in cooperation with Huawei, is incorporating the ASEAN Seeds for the Future into the Huawei Asia Pacific Seeds. The overall programme seeks to equip more regional students with ICT skills to prepare them to face the Industrial Revolution era. This programme will also address the challenges of inclusiveness in the ASEAN region by providing more vocational education and training to youth, targeting specific groups, providing additional support to marginalised groups, or addressing the market needs. 

Under the ASEAN Seeds for the Future, an 8-day training programme will be implemented in Bangkok and Hua Hin, Thailand, from 19 to 27 August 2022, through the Huawei Asia-Pacific Seeds for the Future, gathering 120 selected students from ASEAN and the Asia-Pacific region A total of 20 aspiring students from 10 ASEAN countries will proudly represent the region where participants will be equipped with hands-on training and participate in an international youth competition. In accordance with the programme, the ASEAN Foundation plans to develop a series of promotional communication materials to raise awareness of this initiative to a broader audience. For this purpose, we are seeking for qualified local photo/videographer to help us produce an attractive video and photo documentation that can be served for promotional purposes.  

DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator of ASEAN Seeds for the Future and the guidance of the Head of Communications of ASEAN Foundation, the local photo/videographers will carry out their assignments to deliver high-quality photos and videos for the documentation of the Huawei Asia-Pacific Seeds for the Future in Bangkok and Hua Hin. Below is the overall agenda of the event: 

The photo-videographer is expected to document the event during the arrival of participants in the airport (18 Aug), opening ceremony (19 Aug), cultural visit and training session (20, 21, 22 Aug), as well as the closing and awarding ceremony (26 Aug), with focus on the VIPs and participants from ASEAN.

COMMUNICATION AND REPORTING  

The local photo/videographer will work closely with the Project Coordinator of ASEAN Seeds for the Future Programme and relevant staffs, with the support of the Head of Communications.  

All photo/video files edited should be delivered according to the standards established by the ASEAN Foundation and agreed with the consultant in accordance with the Terms of Reference (TOR) for each assignment. All assets used to produce the video, including project files, should be delivered in their entirety so the material can be updated.  

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS 

All information about this project belonging to the ASEAN Foundation and its partner, which the consultant may come into contact with, in the performance of his/her, duties under this assignment shall remain the property of the ASEAN Foundation, who shall have the exclusive rights over their use. Except for purposes of this assignment, the information shall not be disclosed to the public nor used in whatever without written permission of the ASEAN Foundation in line with the national and International Copyright Laws applicable.  

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

1. Based in Bangkok, Thailand; 
2. Has good experience in photo/video taking and photo/video editing for international forums and youth activities 
3. Have an excellent command in English verbal and writing 
4. Ownership or possession of a high-resolution state-of-the-art digital camera and video camera and equipment is a MUST 
5. Ownership or possession of photo and video editing software is a must; 
6.  Skilled in photography, videography and editing 
7. Possess good flexibility in receiving last-minute changes and requests from clients; 
8. Able to work under pressure and meet tight timelines without affecting the quality of the final deliverable.
